Theatre production Esitu

A young woman gets a chance to take a glimpse at what the future will have in store for her. A future that according to the Hindu concept of Dharma road is predetermined. This constrasts the belief in Western society that every individual carries its fate in his or her own hands. ESITU explores the tension that arises when a person swings back and forth between these two visions of life.

The expressive skills of acrobats, dancers and musicians combined makes this show in the style of the ‘new circus’ an unforgettable experience. Concept and choreography are provided by Thao Nguyen, who drew inspiration from her own experiences growing up between two cultures. Her performances are known for the physical and dynamic language of movement, using the character and identity of the individual players.
